                                                   Mead or Honeywine

Mead is a wine made out of Honey, water and yeast, instead of grapes. Mead is the medieval name for this Honeywine. It is a very old product, best known from the Medieval times, but the oldest recepies found were in the old Mesopotamië, around 500 BC.

Mead in known throughout the world, but in the Netherlands it has gone lost when normal sugar was introduced.

In 2005 Mead and More started to sell Mead at the Fantasy and Gothic fairs in Holland, but soon after we went to other events, like Scottisch and Medieval events. Since then more and more people started to like this wonderfull drink

Honey knows many variaties and so there are many kinds of Mead as well. In two years time our collection has grown from two flavours to eighteen flavours, which come from different suppliers.

At all times we allow people to taste Mead before buying, because there are so many different flavours and it would be a waste if you buy a Mead which you don’t like when you come home.
